Expert System, (EXSY.MI), the leader in semantic technology for the effective management of unstructured information, today announced that it has completed its 100% acquisition of TEMIS SA, a French leader in text analytics solutions with offices in Germany, the UK, the US and Canada.
TEMIS, founded in 2000, uses the proprietary Luxid® technology. Its customers include leading multinational (including BASF, BNP Paribas, Bayer Schering Pharma, Novartis, Sanofi, Thomson Reuters, The McGraw-Hill Companies, Editions Lefebvre-Sarrut, Bloomberg BNA) and international organizations such as the OECD (Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development) and leading institutions including the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
With the close of the TEMIS acquisition, which has an estimated enterprise value of €12 million (disclosed in the May 27, 2015 press release) as approved by the Shareholders’ Meeting held on June 29, Expert System consolidates its position on the Western market, combining two companies with complementary businesses, and ranking among the largest international players specializing in semantic technology for cognitive computing with aggregate sales of over €20 million as of December 31, 2014.
The acquisition will be effective from today.
