– Expert System, the leading provider of semantic software for the effective management of unstructured information, announced important results for orders, international expansion and evolution of its business model in 2014:
- in the US, orders were up 82%
- recurring component orders (annual subscription licensing and maintenance fees) increased 92% over the previous year
- orders for software licenses represent approximately 44% of the total (around 27% in 2013)
The growth in component orders testifies to the effectiveness of the company’s investment strategy of expanding its commercial offer through the introduction of new products and technologies, and with the expansion of its sales team, especially in the US.
Given these results, the company’s international business strategy, following the opening of its UK office, will continue with investments to encourage greater proximity with partners and customers. The company is evaluating new growth opportunities in line with its December 2014 acquisition of the ICM and iLab divisions of Spanish company iSOCO, which led to the launch of Expert System Iberia.
“In this challenging environment, the achievement of such positive results is the result of a careful strategy,” said Stefano Spaggiari, CEO, Expert System. “We are very pleased with these results, as they both confirm the effectiveness of our development strategy and encourage our continued development in this latest phase of growth.”
The data in this press release refers to the activities of Expert System SpA and its subsidiaries in the US and UK in the field of enterprise and government software. The activities of start-up ADmantX are therefore excluded.
