Association Communication Informatics Armed Forces, 5-28-2007
Expert System has joined the Armed Forces Communications and Electronic Associations (AFCEA), an international association that aims to promote “active communication between the government, the military, the media, and other types of industry associated with the world of (tele)informatics.”
Expert System will actively contribute to the achievement of goals set by the Rome-based branch of AFCEA with its newly developed technology. More specifically, the company developed a technology which aids personnel from the Department of Intelligence in sifting through large amounts of incoming data, thus improving the strenuous process of public defense from foreign threats.
Andrea Melegari, VP of the Security and Intelligence Department, Expert System, maintains that “becoming an AFCEA partner will allow Expert System to function as a technological facilitator in the relationships between the government, the military, and the industry. The final goal is to employ Cogito, the technology developed by Expert System, to automatically handle semantic analysis for the Department of Intelligence of countries that have joined AFCEA.”
