BRIDGE aims at improving the prospects and quality of life of newly arrived migrants and refugees, by providing local public administrations (PAs) with an enhanced decision-making system based on cognitive technologies for the data/fact-driven skill-based management of their integration process. Facilitating the efforts of PAs to manage migrant integration is a EU key priority, according to the “Action Plan on the integration of third country nationals “and the “New Skills Agenda for Europe”. Migrants and refugees have on average worse outcomes than the native-born in labour market participation. This is a sign of existing barriers to effective integration. BRIDGE will allow migrants to access job offers matching their skill set, and PAs to take actions to maximize migrants’ employment.
