MAESTRO’s goal is to study new features for a “Practical AI”. Features such as:explicability of the algorithm; “consumption” of the algorithm (both in terms of energy and human resources to maintain it); ease of deployment (local or cloud-based installation, etc.), are crucial to apply in the “real” world AI systems but they are also features that present several critical issues in today’s most popular and publicized systems.
Research activity in MAESTRO is aimed at finding new solutions to mitigate the aforementioned problems and develop applications suitable for that “wide audience” of potential new Users who are interested in AI due to the success of “Chat GPT” (such as SMEs).
